Fly-tip cleanup

Fly tip cleanup service in Cardiff and Newport

Dumped on your land or outside your property? We prioritise these, because a pile left sitting only ever attracts more.

On private land, it is the landowner who has to clear it

This is the part people find hardest to accept, and it is worth being straight about: where waste is fly-tipped on private land, the cost of removing it falls on the landowner or occupier rather than the council. However unfair that is, waiting for somebody else to deal with it usually means waiting a long time while the pile grows.

Photograph it and report it to the council first — that record matters if it happens again, and if the tipping is on the public highway or a council-owned lane they may clear it themselves. Then ring us. We turn these round faster than anything else we do.

  • Private land, yards, car parks and access lanes
  • Back lanes behind terraces, alleys and side entries
  • Commercial premises and vacant units
  • Same day where we can get to you
  • Licensed disposal and a transfer note for your records

Prices

What a fly-tip clearance costs

Priced by the van load like everything else. Send a photo of the pile and we will give you a figure before we come out, so you are not agreeing to an open-ended job.

Quarter van

£160 loaded & swept

A few bags and a mattress

Half van

£290 loaded & swept

The usual back lane dump

Full van

£450 loaded & swept

A van-load tip on a yard or lane

We sort what we take for recycling rather than tipping the lot, and everything goes to a licensed transfer station. Ask for the transfer note — if you ever need to show the council you dealt with it properly, that is the document that does it.

Why we clear these first

Fly-tipping compounds. One mattress against a wall becomes five bags beside it within a week, because the next person driving past sees somewhere that is evidently already being used as a tip. Clearing it in the first few days is the difference between a quarter load and a full one.

If you own a lane, a yard or a block of flats where it keeps happening, say so when you ring. We see the same spots repeatedly, and can usually tell you what actually stops it — which is normally a light and a gate rather than a sign.
